Conversatia is an innovative and dynamic news network, driven by the enthusiasm and passion of high school students from various backgrounds. This unique initiative empowers these young individuals to come together, collaborate, and create content in a professional news network format.
At Conversatia, the goal is to provide a platform where high schoolers can express themselves and discuss topics that are close to their hearts. The network operates on a weekly basis, with students posting news articles, producing episodes, and recording podcasts that cover a wide range of subjects. From current events and social issues to technology, arts, sports, and beyond, the students have the freedom to explore any topic that ignites their curiosity and sparks meaningful conversations.
The structure of Conversatia resembles that of a traditional news network. Each week, a team of dedicated high school journalists, editors, producers, and hosts collaborate and curate, create, and deliver engaging content. These young reporters conduct research, interview experts, investigate stories, and present their findings in a professional and responsible manner.
Research: Students are responsible for conducting thorough research on their chosen topics, gathering reliable information, and verifying facts to ensure accuracy in their content.
Content Creation: High schoolers have the creative freedom to generate content in various formats, such as writing short articles, recording 5-10 minute podcasts or episodes, or exploring alternative formats that align with their vision.
Editorial Review: Before submitting their work, students review and edit their content to maintain high-quality standards. They ensure that their pieces are well-structured, engaging, and convey their intended messages effectively.
Submission: Once the content is finalized, students send their articles, podcasts, or episodes to the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial staff. They follow the established submission process, which may involve submitting files electronically or using a content management system.
Meeting Deadlines: Students adhere to the publishing schedule and submit their content within the specified timeframes. This ensures that the news network operates smoothly and delivers timely and relevant information to its audience.
Adhering to Ethical Standards: Contributors follow ethical guidelines, including fact-checking, avoiding plagiarism, respecting copyright laws, and maintaining journalistic integrity. They strive to provide accurate and unbiased information to their audience.
Promoting the Network: Students play an essential role in promoting Conversatia to expand its reach and impact. They utilize social media platforms, personal networks, and other avenues to share their work and encourage others to engage with the network.
